JOY DIVISION Remixed Gig Poster

This would make the perfect Christmas gift for Joy Division and Ian Curtis fans, music geeks and lovers of retro graphic design!

This print commemorates Joy Division’s first gig (they had previously played together as Warsaw) at Pips Disco, Manchester back in 1978. Joy Division are another band that weren’t around long (due to Ian Curtis’ suicide in 1980) but left a huge imprint on future musicians.

This gig has been given The Stereo Typist treatment and turned into a book cover. Influenced by the Penguin and Pelican jackets of the 1950s/1960s, this print gives a retro / pop art feel that would suit any contemporary or mid-century space.

This design is digitally printed onto a high quality A3, 160 gsm recycled matt paper which is in keeping with the feel of the old book jackets.
NB. The yellow of Ian’s face is the Factory label colour.
